elephant Da Gama and Pathan lead the caravan that takes Maya to Bijapur. She travels by elephant, accompanied by the young Portuguese heiress, Lucinda.
whisper Arriving in Bijapur, Da Gama joins Victorio Souza for a meeting with the Khaswajara, the eunuch named Whisper, who has his own plans for Maya.
sex With Da Gama away, Maya becomes interested in Lucinda's cousin, Geraldo.
